Biography

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts with honors from the New School for Social Research in 1998 and my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University in 2005. I completed a doctoral internship at Manhattan Psychiatric Center, gaining specialized experience working with patients diagnosed with severe and persistent psychiatric illness. After finishing doctoral training, I completed a Fellowship in Psychoanalysis at the NYU Psychoanalytic Institute and started seeing patients in private practice in 2007. I worked as a psychologist at Bellevue Hospital Center from 2004 to 2019 and held a faculty position in the Department of Psychiatry at the New York University Langone Medical Center from 2007 to 2019. As of 2019, I see patients in full-time private practice only. I am licensed to practice psychology in the State of New York.
